Terms of Service

These terms form the agreement between you and the Adetio operating entity (to be published before launch) for use of the Adetio identity platform. By creating an account or using the service you accept them.

Draft · operating entity to be published before launch

1. The agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Data Processing Agreement and the plan you select, govern your use of Adetio. They are entered into between you ("Customer") and the Adetio operating entity (to be published before launch). If you use Adetio on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

2. Your account & responsibilities

You are responsible for the configuration of your Adetio instance, for safeguarding your API secret keys, and for the lawful basis on which you process your own end users’ data. You must keep account and billing details accurate and notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use Adetio to break the law, infringe others’ rights, send unsolicited messages, probe or breach security, or build a competing identity service from our software. We may suspend access where use threatens the security or integrity of the platform, giving notice where lawfully possible.

4. Fees & billing

Paid plans are billed in EUR (excl. VAT) on the metrics described on our Pricing page — primarily monthly active users — monthly or annually in advance. Overages are charged at the published per-MAU rate. We give at least 30 days’ notice before any price change and never reprice your existing plan retroactively.

5. Data & portability

You retain all rights to your data. You may export your users — including password hashes — through our public API at any time, during the term and for 30 days after it ends. We act as your processor under the Data Processing Agreement incorporated into these Terms.

6. Term & termination

Either party may terminate for convenience at the end of a billing period, or for material breach not cured within 30 days of notice. On termination we make your data available for export for 30 days, then delete it within 90 days unless EU law requires longer retention.

7. Warranties & liability

Adetio is provided with reasonable skill and care and, on paid plans, the uptime commitment in your plan. To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and each party’s aggregate liability is capped at the fees paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the EU member state of establishment (to be published before launch), and by EU law where it applies. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that state, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
